eBooknet.com is a comprehensive website that provides some of the most current news and information about the ebook world.  The frequently-updated site is divided into four categories:

1. Reading Technology- ebook hardware and software
2. Things to Read- ebook content by file type, genre and publisher
3. Writing eBooks- information for authors about digital publishing
4. eBook Business- ebook market, players and issues, such as copyright

In addition, eBooknet.com supports online discussions, such as "eBooks, Education and the Future" from Dec 4th-11th, with featured guests including Nancy Buchanan of Questia, Inc., Martin Eberhard, founder of NuvoMedia, David Lindrum of netLibrary, and Rich Katzmann, CEO of goReader.  Participation is free and anyone can participate in the discussion by submitting comments or posting questions via a simple online form.  In addition, every few days the website features a new ebook, or "Undiscovered Gem", complete with abstract and purchasing information. 

Although purchased by NuvoMedia in July 1999, eBooknet.com provides comprehensive coverage regarding all types of ebook technologies and does not appear to have to curtail any of its criticisms of NuvoMedia/Gemstar.
