Update on netLibrary and eBrarySince the publication of Issue 2 of this newsletter, I have received some updates and additional information regarding netLibrary and Ebrary. netLibrary- I neglected to state that in additional to public and academic libraries, netLibrary also has a corporate library division with over 50 customers, including Credit Suisse, U.S. Patent and Trademark, Exelon Corp., AMD, AT&T, IBM, SUN, Walt Disney World Info Systems, Lucent, Intel and Raytheon. (from email from John Richardson, Director, Library Programs, netLibrary). Ebrary- Ebrary's projected launch date is now late spring 2001. The cost of downloading or printing will be approximately $.25 per page. Their service will include a translation feature which will use a "Bable Fish" translator.
